Anthropic filing revives the AI trade
An IPO filing and a giant chip-financing deal pulled AI stocks back up; every fresh positive setup in the scan sits in AI infrastructure, ahead of a week packed with the Fed and big tech earnings.
The Signal
All three averages closed higher, led by tech, with the blue chips lagging and volatility easing. About twice as many stocks saw money flowing in as flowing out, but far more names are still making lower highs than higher highs. Fresh bullish turns cluster in technology and industrials; fresh bearish turns pile up in health care.
The Noise
The market read the Anthropic IPO filing and a sixty-three billion dollar financing package for Broadcom-based AI compute as proof the AI boom is intact, and cheaper oil helped. The data says bounce, not breakout: structure is still in a pullback, and the real verdicts arrive this week from the Fed and mega-cap earnings.
Multi-Signal Confluence
Broadcom (AVGO): revisited from last Monday because the news changed. It is the chip supplier at the center of the new financing deal. Money flow turned up on a higher low after a monthly slide of about seven percent; revenue up close to fifty percent and earnings roughly doubled; next report about six weeks out.
Vertiv (VRT): also a revisit. Power and cooling for AI data centers, down about a fifth in a month with the same flow turn on a higher low. It reports Wednesday morning alongside the Fed, so this is event risk; wait for the print.
Data center infrastructure ETF (DTCR): new. A basket of data-center builders and owners showing the same pattern after an eight percent pullback, less single-name risk but exposed to this week's reports.
Week Ahead
Durable goods on Tuesday. The Fed decision and press conference on Wednesday afternoon, with a hold expected. Third-quarter GDP, consumer spending and core inflation on Thursday morning. Manufacturing data early next week and the October jobs report on Friday.
