Tech Bounces, Two Top-Tier Names

Technology led a rebound in the names that sold off last week. Broadcom and Vertiv reached the top tier, but both remain in downtrends and Vertiv reports within a week.

The Signal

The Nasdaq gained about one percent and the broad market finished solidly higher, led by the chip and AI infrastructure names that sold off last week. Buying flows still outnumber selling flows, but price structure remains cautious. Bullish turns bunch up in financials and industrials, bearish turns in health care and energy.

The Noise

No same-day wrap explained the move, so no cause is named. A rebound strongest where the sell-off hurt most reads as buyers testing the water, not a change of mind, and the next few sessions will show whether it holds.

Multi-Signal Confluence

Broadcom (AVGO): money flow turned up on a higher low, but the stock is still in a downtrend. Revenue grew about 49 percent over the last year, valuation is about 43 times earnings, and next earnings are expected around December 10th, unconfirmed.

Vertiv (VRT): the same setup, with a bounce of about four percent today. It is expected to report around October 28th, the same day as the Fed decision, unconfirmed, so wait for the print.

Veeva Systems (VEEV): price rose while the money behind it faded, the one bearish pattern that has held up across every era we tested.
